Bedell Cellars

Cutchogue

One of the North Fork's benchmark wineries — Bedell has been setting the standard since 1980. The estate produces critically acclaimed blends and single-varietal wines from sustainably farmed vineyards, with Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and the flagship Musée blend earning consistent national recognition. Five of their wines were poured at President Obama's 2013 inauguration. The tasting room is refined without being pretentious, with sweeping vineyard views and an art-forward aesthetic.

Bridge Lane Wine

Mattituck

Lieb Cellars' casual label and tasting barn — Bridge Lane produces approachable, well-made wines at prices that won't make you wince. The rosé and sparkling wines are consistently excellent. Dog friendly. One of the best value stops on the entire wine trail.

Castello di Borghese Vineyard & Winery

Cutchogue

The birthplace of Long Island wine — Castello di Borghese occupies the site of the original Hargrave Vineyard, where the first wine grapes on Long Island were planted in 1973. The winery is proudest of its Pinot Noir. A historically significant stop with wines that deliver.

Croteaux Vineyards

Southold

America's first and only all-rosé winery — Croteaux produces nothing but dry rosés from their Southold estate, and they do it better than almost anyone. The setting is serene: a converted farmhouse, Adirondack chairs on the lawn, and a no-rush atmosphere. Bring a picnic, stay two hours, leave with a case.

Jamesport Vineyards

Jamesport

A charming Jamesport vineyard with an intimate tasting experience — no limos or buses allowed. Jamesport produces a thoughtful range of estate wines with a focus on terroir-driven expression. One of the few North Fork wineries to offer a truly unhurried experience.

Kontokosta Winery

Greenport

The North Fork's only waterfront tasting room — Kontokosta sits on 62 acres of Long Island Sound blufftop with a quarter-mile of water frontage and views that stop you cold. The winery produces about 3,500 cases annually from estate-grown grapes. The tasting room is 9,000 square feet of glass and stone overlooking the Sound. On a clear day you can see Connecticut.

Lenz Winery

Peconic

One of the original North Fork wineries, founded in 1978 — Lenz has been making exceptional Bordeaux-style reds and complex whites longer than almost anyone on the Fork. The winery specializes in Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and a richly textured Gewürztraminer. The tasting room has an intimate, old-world feel. A must for serious wine lovers.

Macari Vineyards

Mattituck

A 500-acre family estate with two tasting rooms producing biodynamically farmed wines that have earned a loyal following. Macari is known for exceptional Chardonnay, Merlot, and their signature Bergen Road blend. The estate is genuinely beautiful, with horses, chickens, and a family atmosphere that sets it apart from the more formal tasting rooms on the Fork. Dog friendly.

McCall Wines

Cutchogue

A conservation-minded Cutchogue estate with one of the East Coast's largest plantings of Pinot Noir. McCall raises organic, grass-fed Charolais cattle on the property and has protected over 200 acres of farmland and wild habitat through the Peconic Land Trust. The wines are serious and the story is exceptional.

Paumanok Vineyards

Aquebogue

A family-owned Aquebogue estate with a well-earned reputation for producing wines of exceptional quality and consistency. Paumanok's Chenin Blanc is among the finest examples grown anywhere on the East Coast, and their Cabernet Franc and Grand Vintage blend are perennial favorites. Run by the Massoud family since 1983.

Pellegrini Vineyards

Cutchogue

A Cutchogue classic producing consistently excellent estate wines since 1991. Pellegrini is known for structured Merlot, rich Chardonnay, and the East End blend — straightforward, honest North Fork winemaking without pretension.

Pindar Vineyards

Peconic

One of the largest and most visited wineries on the North Fork — Pindar has been welcoming guests since 1979 and produces a wide range of approachable wines at every price point. The Mythology blend and Winter White are crowd favorites.

Raphael Winery

Peconic

A stunning 70-acre Peconic estate with a Tuscany-inspired stone building and some of the most beautiful vineyard views on the Fork. Raphael produces hand-harvested wines with a focus on depth, finesse, and elegance — Merlot and Cabernet Franc are the standouts. Live music on weekends. One of the very few North Fork wineries that harvests 100% by hand.

RGNY

Riverhead

The North Fork's most distinctive newcomer — RGNY brings Mexican winemaking heritage to Long Island wine country. The tasting room is open and welcoming, the wines — particularly the whites — are worth seeking out.

Rose Hill Vineyards

Mattituck

A small-production boutique winery in Mattituck focused on handcrafted estate wines with a genuinely personal tasting experience. Rose Hill keeps things intimate — small groups, unhurried pours, and a team that actually wants to talk about what's in your glass.

Sparkling Pointe

Southold

The North Fork's dedicated sparkling wine house — Sparkling Pointe produces exclusively méthode champenoise wines from estate-grown grapes, with Brut, Blanc de Blancs, Blanc de Noirs, and Topaz Imperial rosé among the highlights. The tasting room is elegant and intimate, the wines are genuinely world-class, and the setting makes it one of the most memorable stops on the Fork.
